DECKROOM — START HERE

FIRST TIME

  1. In Finder, select this extracted release folder and press
     Option-Command-C to copy its path.
  2. Open Terminal, type cd followed by a space, paste the path, and press
     Return.
  3. Run:

       bash start_lecture.command

This safely prepares the downloaded lecture and opens the normal
     Presenter and Audience UI.

If Firefox or Node 24 LTS is missing, run bash install_requirements.command,
open Firefox once, and then run the start command again.

If Terminal asks to access Downloads or this release folder, select Allow.
If access was previously denied, open System Settings > Privacy & Security >
Files & Folders, enable Downloads for Terminal, and run the command again.

START EACH LECTURE

  1. Connect the room display in extended desktop mode.
  2. From this release folder in Terminal, run:

       bash start_lecture.command

  3. Move the Audience Window to the room display and press F for full screen.

STOP

From this release folder in Terminal, run:

    bash stop_lecture.command

RECOVERY

Run bash start_lecture.command again to replace a failed Deckroom session.
For a missing Audience Window, lecture export, or status, use the System menu
  in Presenter Console.

Deckroom does not need Accessibility, Screen Recording, Full Disk Access,
camera, or microphone permission. Stop if macOS requests one of those.
